MetaSmart Adisseo production facility expected in late H2
Adisseo welcomed key customers from across the EU and MEA for an event focused on the future of dairy nutrition and of the new construction of MetaSmart production capacity. Industry leaders, including feed mill managers and dairy nutritionists, gathered in Burgos, Spain, to gain firsthand insights into the company’s new plant dedicated to producing HMBi, the active ingredient in MetaSmart, a methionine source for ruminants.
dsm-firmenich to sell stake in Feed Enzymes Alliance to partner Novonesis
dsm-firmenich announced the sale of its stake in the Feed Enzymes Alliance to its equal partner Novonesis for €1.5 billion. The dsm-firmenich activities to be sold under this transaction to Novonesis represented in 2024 approximately €300 million in total annual net sales. Novonesis will continue a long-term commercial relationship with the Animal Nutrition & Health business, for the re-sale of its feed enzymes through the Animal Nutrition & Health premix network.
dsm-firmenich releases results of mycotoxin survey
dsm-firmenich has released the results of the World Mycotoxin Survey from January to December 2024, which aims to identify mycotoxin risks based on animal species and location. Until December 2024, a total of 28,388 samples were collected and analysed from 95 countries. Compared to 2023, results concluded that all 6 main mycotoxins increased. Risk increased in Central Europe, as well as in the Middle East and North Africa compared to 2023. Risk remains extreme with the highest regions of mycotoxins found in North and Central America, South Asia, China and Taiwan.

Through powerful storytelling, advocacy and educational initiatives, Planet of Plenty LLC aims to bridge that gap.
Alltech appoints Jorge Noricumbo as a territory sales manager in California
Alltech has welcomed Jorge Noricumbo to the US team as territory sales manager covering the south-central valley of California. He will also assist the Alltech Dairy On-Farm Support team with trainings. Throughout his career, Noricumbo has worked in collaboration with dairy farmers, consultants, veterinarians and nutritionists to help dairy farms improve the quality and efficiency of their processes. He focuses on training in many areas, such as maternity, calves, milking parlour, stockmanship and feed bunk management.
