Mycotoxins can exert their effects on animals in many ways, including changing feeding behaviour, altering intestinal structure and function, affecting endocrine system signalling and modifying the immune system.

Mycotoxicosis can negatively impact all stages of animal production, which makes it even more important to keep on top of things. Good sampling and testing, as well as mycotoxin management, are essential in multiple links in the feed chain.
