About Future Farming, a 3-day event that will bring together agriculture professionals from all corners of the world, will take place 5 – 7 November 2019 at the Wageningen University & Research Campus, the Netherlands.
It’s nearly November and this upcoming month marks the event About Future Farming, presented by Misset International and Wageningen University & Research. The event will showcase an international crowd in the ag industry, making it a truly global experience.
The 3rd Global Future Farming Summit, takes place 5 November, will kick off with exciting keynotes and 150 thought leaders, amongst others. For example dairy farmer Jan Roelof Jalvingh, owner Hookwood Dairy, will cover topics like sensors, equipment and technology. Also on the speaker’s list is Roxy Muller, Innovation manager at Nedap, who will, in addition to other topics, present CowControl, a dairy herd monitoring and management system. Nedap states that the system helps to maximize herd performance and farm efficiency by boosting reproduction results, cow health, labor efficiency and farm management.
This summit will bring together future minded agribusiness professionals, unlock business potential and have a look at how technology and data science contribute to improve efficiencies, profitability transparency.

On 6 November, the summit also offers attendees an ‘Experience Tour’, consisting of four tours to take a look behind the scenes – the tours include: Digital Twins, The Protein Transition, The Circularity Challenge and the Healthy Nutrition, Food as Medicine Tour. Here those joining can have a look at the research facilities at Wageningen Campus and meet experts. On the tour latest developments and innovations of Wageningen University & Research will be uncovered and experts will be available. According to am attendee last year the tour was an, “…inspiring experience. The tours were well arranged.”

On 7 November discussions will take place at the Circular Agri Food Summit, a one day event that will look at challenges and share best practices and bring inspiring solutions in the increasing demand of food production using fewer resources while taking into account the environment. The summit is designed to empower you to take tangible action, so you leave ready for what comes next.
Among the speakers at the Circular Agri Food Summit are Martin Scholte, general director Animal Sciences at Wageningen University & Research and Jason Drew, FLY-FARMER and Insect Technology pioneer at AgriProtein.
