Video 2: Fans ensure sufficient air movement on windless days
A few years ago, dairy farmer Remco Schouten from Berlicum, the Netherlands, had a new open barn built. Without fans it turned out to be too hot in the summer. He soon decided to purchase Topcool fans that can ventilate over the cubicles on windless days.
On windless days there is sufficient air movement in the barn and the used air from the cows is properly discharged. ‘Because of the fans, the air exchange is better. This is not only pleasant for the cows, but also makes working in the barn more pleasant’.
